But this list shows a degree of stupidity and outright evil that is gobsmacking. That most of this data has been preserved is fortunate. That the continuity of that data is interrupted is unforgivable.

It's difficult to fathom the mindset. Do they actually believe stopping the science will make the problem go away? Will ending research prove it isn't real? We are a nation that is almost literally burying our heads in the sand.
