Yeah, it's scary. But there's not much we can do about it, and the Russians do have every right to be there. They have a lot of coastline up there, and the international waters belong to everybody. The Russians have always been interested in that part of the world.
Now that the navigability of the Arctic Ocean is getting easier every year,

the natural resources and military potential of the Polar Sea is opening up fast. And whoever has built up bases and infrastructure there will be in a better position to exploit, defend, or take whatever they want.
