It's pretty obvious the guy who wrote that article you quoted in your op was dead wrong. Perry dropped from a high of 31.8% in the polls for republican voters right after that article was written to 9.8% as of right BEFORE the devastating "oops" moment. He'll be below 4% within a week. Toast.
