Oh, yeah, I read it. I've read many like it.
The Left hates her with the virulence they reserve for anyone who identifies the Left for what it really is. Over the years (I've read a lot more of Rand than just her novels), Ayn Rand nailed them to the wall again and again.
It's painfully obvious that the author has never come within a parsec of Rand's ideas, seemingly absorbing them second or third hand, and he seems unable to comprehend any ideology that is not based on predation. To be more precise, the Leftist believes that people must prey on each other to survive, and we can only choose between the poor preying on the rich or vice versa. The brain paths just aren't there to perceive a society based on freedom from predation.
