As always, it portrays a false choice. Somehow, providing healthcare to all our citizens will take away out freedom. It truly is a ridiculous argument.
Yes we are individuals who need to live free and responsible. We are also citizens of the nation we live in and have a social contract with our society. If we collectively as citizens of this nation decide to create a healthcare system for all paid for entirely through taxes, how does that harm our right to life liberty and happiness? The world is full of advanced nations with national healthcare which are undeniably free societies.
