Re: Does anyone understand the Higgs Boson and Higgs field?
I gave up a long time ago trying to understand any physics formulated after the end of the nineteenth century. Even when I was in school and taking the courses, when I could do the math and solve the problems, I still could not visualize in any meaningful, physical way, what was going on. Still, I wouldn't let that imtimidate me. I doubt if physicists really understand any of it either.
"The Higgs field is like water, all around us...". That sounds like Obi-Wan trying to explain the Force to Luke.
