That big Jolly Guy in the Red suit is coming soon and I have a bunch of Walnuts for him.
Hey!, I inherited a Walnut Tree with my property and every year I have more nuts then I can handle.
This year the nuts came down in bunches from my backyard tree. The weather was good and they dried out very well. I just took them out of storage and emptied them on the garage floor - what a beautiful sound they make when you move them around with your hands. The only problem that I have now is sorting the good ones from the bad ones.
Anyone have some input in explaining a non-destructive technique in sorting these nuts.
I can't take the heel of my jack boot
to all of them!
And yes, there is another bind, Mr. Jolly just loves milk and cookies right? Well, I want to fix up a present of about 20 kilos of the shelled nuts for Mrs Clause so she has a good supply in the New Year in making Walnut - Oatmeal cookies for her better half.
This jack boot smashing just ends up with too many shell pieces and too few walnut halves, just crumbs.
This is a major scientific problem in finding a way to crack the nut with the least amount of waste.
Seasons Greetings and all the Best
in the New Year.
