Those of you who have HBO got to see this miniseries months ago. I got the DVD collection for Christmas and watched all 12 hours (10 hours of programming and 2 hours of extras) over the weekend. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the series and recommend it to anyone who has an interest in history. My wife liked it better than "Saving Private Ryan" because it is factual and has much longer to develop the story.

We especially enjoyed the documentary on the real men of Easy Company. It's on disk 6 of the collection. There were countless numbers of men like those of Easy Company. Concentrating on a single unit through 2 years of training and a year of combat helps bring home the price those men paid.

I highly recommend this DVD set even more than "From the Earth to the Moon", and I love that set.
