As unusual (or goofy) as this school's curriculum may seem
at least these group home and juvenile hall cast-offs and dropouts are placed within a structured educational environment in which they're asked to think, read and write. About something. About anything.
If the alternative is having one of these kids stick a gun in my gut sometime betwen the hours of 8:00 and 2:30 to raise funds for the gang in their hood, then maybe this school and its curriculum isn't such a goofy idea.
Of course, I tend to believe our society, and government, should take a much less pateralistic approach to individuals who are adults, not children.
