<...It was when Moore went into a rant about how the passengers on the planes on 11 September were scaredy-cats because they were mostly white. If the passengers had included black men, he claimed, those killers, with their puny bodies and unimpressive small knives, would have been crushed by the dudes, who as we all know take no disrespect from anybody.

There are more than a few liberals you don't have to scratch very hard to find the raw racism underneath. In some ways the paternalism and stereotyping are almost worse than the outright hostility from the more conventional racists. Of COURSE blacks are tougher fighters and stronger than white men. Geez, why doesn't Moore just come right out and call them "bucks?"

Back in the early days, I had Moore pegged as a reasonably bright leftist, but as time goes on his internal inconsistencies and downright stupidity have come to the fore. Even a lot of people on the Left are getting disgusted with him. His justifications for his luxury apartments and private schooling are priceless.
