Welcome to $$$$ science.

I could write a similar book about the big bang and the scientific gymnastics required to perpetuate that folly, quoting segments from Hawking to

When there is university funding and money to be made by pursuing a particular scientific agenda - or when tapping the large anti-corporation sentiment, expect science to be taken for a ride to varying degrees.

All science has subjective aspects to it. When one wants to, one can link the dots in such a manner as to paint very creative pictures.

Eric Lerner received similar praise initially and then the treatment from the biggest paid proponents of the Big Bang such as Ned Wright out at UCLA, who set up a whole section of his website to refute Lerner's book, "The Big Bang Never Happened."

It's amazing how motivated some people can be when their scientific livelihood is threatened.

Lerner's problem is he doesn't have an accurate alternative. He sees the King is naked but that jeopardizes countless nebulous science probes that could keep one feeding on the funding for a dozen lifetimes, but makes an open target with his plasma cosmology alternative.

No one has ever told the true story about the kid who pointed to the Emperor and shouted, "Mother the King is stark naked!"

That kid was beaten to a pulp by the weavers' henchmen and the kid soon recanted, "Oh, I see BEAUTIFUL clothes. Magnificent! The draping! The fit! Superb!"

The environmentalist science movement for all intents and purposes are profiteers who can extract big funding and donations from the leftist, anti-corporate, anti-business academician crowd. In the struggle to claim big business is evil, to be able to say the corporations are destroying the planet is the ultimate PR tool.

I wish Lomborg a thick skin. He'll need it.
