Expecting an artist to make sense of the geopolitical situation
is like expecting your dentist to be perfectly capable of fixing your transmission.
It's just not his area of expertise.
Like any other person in a free society, artists are free to voice their opinion on any issue. Why in God's name that opinion would be deemed more worthy of publication than any other individual's views is beyond me.
