You're right, the idea of "working person" is a bit nebulous. I have breakfast every Sunday with my hiking buddy, a guy who is now worth several hundred million dollars. The stock market has been good to him, but he started out with a helluva lot, too.
We've had breakfast on Sundays for damned near 20 years now when we are both in town, usually always now. And often in a tent somewhere, too.
He has an office on the top floor of a high-rise, shows up every day. Calls it "working". And it is. Endless numbers of petitioners, politicians (Republican), folks from companies of which he's on the board.
Not quite the same as the clerks in the local supermarkets, teachers, or cops.
If he doesn't get to work, his bills will still be paid. Most folks would run out of money before too long.
But maybe one needs to be a Democrat to understand, truly know, what a "working person" is. I have the sense that many, many of the conservatives on this board are either working persons or living off their wives, who are working persons, even though they identify with the wealthier, ruling class. (They are neither, by the way.)
Arf (remember, capital without labor is as worthless as labor without capital - except that one can eat the fruits of their labor, and there are very few calories in a dollar bill if you can't spend it)

Probably not someone who is living off of capital.
