Martin Luther King Jr.

Yesterday I was watching the Martin Luther King Jr. parade in Houston (we had two for some reason, but I watched the first one). I noticed there were very few White-Americans and no Hispanic-Americans or Oriental-Americans in the crowd or parade. (I watched and I am a German-Italian-Irish-Native American-American).

I feel that Martin Luther King Jr. would be disappointed. His vision was a melting pot where all races in lived together. I think he would want to see all races of Americans at and in the parade that honors him. He wasn’t just about African-Americans, he was about all Americans. He wanted us to all be treated the same by our government and treat each other the same.

I would be he would not support us calling ourselves (insert name)-American. He just wanted us all to be Americans.
