Hollywood to take on Heinlein again?
From Ain't It Cool News.
My first take on this is that I need this like I need a daily spinal tap. Hollywood's last take on Heinlein was "Starship Troopers," with the filmmaker's interpretation of one of my favorite books in the whole world as a Nazi polemic. You think you've seen me pissed here, you should have seen me when I saw that movie.
God knows how a Hollywood commie would interpret Heinlein's libertarian Moon society and its revolt for freedom. Talk about unclear on the concept.
Harry seems to think the producer would choose a screenwriter wisely. Well, maybe. I would like to see the movie done right.
I can really see John Leguizamo as Manuel Garcia O'Kelly...
