What kind of people think like this?

I have often commented on the phenomenon where a person adopts a bizarre idea or belief to the point where eventually all reason and external reality is rejected to keep the belief alive, and the mind collapses into a mental "singularity" where it whirls around and around in circles repeated the same crazed concepts.

The analogy breaks down a bit here, since (judging by the number of looney web sites) crap flows endlessly out of their intellectual "Schwartzchild Radius," while no new or conflicting information can flow in, which is the opposite of a real black hole.
