<Voter fraud prevention measures running into opposition
Not one opposing politician appears to be able to come up with a valid reason for why a voter should not have to come up with some form of ID. Around here, anyone with any legal status at all can cough up the six bucks it costs to get a California ID card, even if you don't drive. It's become more and more obvious that some politicians routinely count on illegal or shady votes to win, and they don't like the idea of that changing.
