The Grippen is a good plane
I like the fact that such a small plane can perform air-to-air, air-to-ground, and reconnaissance missions while having superb short field capabilities. If it's anything like it's older brother, the Viggen, it probably doesn't have a very big combat radius, but that fits in Sweden's defensive role. From what I've read, the Viggen has excellent maneuverability and it wouldn't surprise me if the Grippen is even better.
