School rating site - what do you think?
The RateMyTeachers site has been getting a lot of attention lately.... schools here have banned access from school computers. IMHO it a great idea to give students, the most important component of the school system, some kind of say in the quality of their teachers. Of course it is open to abuse, but from looking through the site it seems that most of the ratings and comments are thoughtful and fair.
Not something to base teacher's salaries on (though the idea has some merit!) but it does give some good feedback.
