And by the way, I've spent many an idle hour picking the lock on handcuffs with a variety of materials. It's especially easy with a paper-clip, I've often thought it might even be done with a clipped off toenail. Haven't made that work, haven't had the right toenail, but I think it could be done.
It's about as easy to pick that lock with your hands behind you as in front, and if one stays agile, and slim, you can step through when you're cuffed behind the back and get your hands in front.
Now. Watch out for someone who manages to get their cuffs in front. Their hands, arms and cuffs are one helluva club and able to do more damage than just a little bit. That will not only get your attention, but may cost you your consciousness in the process.
Now, if you can't do anything else, you can free the pin which locks them from tightening too much. Then tighten 'em, and scream your head off. The cop will have to take 'em off to get circulation back to your hands. There is a moment when your hands will be free.
But that's another story. Thanks again for the advice.
