Shock and Awe
The media jumps on things like this to the point of nausia. A perfect example of a term meant to describe a psych tactic that has been totally overblown. I wonder how many wish they had never used the term in the first place.
I am waiting to see if this one becomes part of our cultural jargon.
"Hey bro you want me to open up a can of shockanawe on yo ass?"
"Gentlemen, what I propose is a shock and awe ad campaign for your product."
Not hard to think of dozens.
