I think I watched an episode or two

Really, it didn't impress me. Sure, they brought in some men with some good skills. However, small units like the SEALS and Special Forces get a lot of their strength from months or even years of training together. The men form bonds with one another closer than with their own brothers. Simply throwing men together like the show did is highly unrealistic for a so-called "Reality TV" program.

There was a program last year called "American Fighter Pilot" that I watched. It followed 3 men as they tried to get checked out in the F-15. There was a pilot who was transitioning from flying the B-1. There was another experienced pilot who was a devoted family man. The third guy was the struggling fledgling pilot right out of flight training. Being a severe airplane nut, I watched the show even though it's production values were pretty annoying. The show was cancelled after the 3rd episode.
