Done in by staples. That was pure genius on the KGB’s part. I doubt it was originally done on purpose, but whoever noticed it was cleaver.
I can just see the CIA saying, “Why do we keep loosing agents?” and not knowing the whole time it is the staples in the passport giving them away.
