Galileo is way past it's life expectency
Despite the unfortunate foul-up with the high gain antenna, Galileo has been a very successful mission and survived far beyond it's designed life expectency. It's definitely time for an honorable end. Too bad they're planning on burning it up in Jupiter's atmosphere. I'd much rather see it auger-in on Io.
