What I saw in those Mpegs were sudden outbursts of carbon monoxide plumes from China, Amazon Basin and Africa that diffused away to nothing as they convected across different oceans. The plumes of carbon monoxide from China seemed completely diffused (absorbed) before reaching North America. My totally ignorant observation was there is some process in the ocean that was eating up the carbon dioxide and carbon monoxide, i.e. plankton?. North America seemed to be irrelevant.
