...it's a giant *young* star: 100-400 million yrs. old. Anything can happen. *g* While that ring is still hot, we, or our descendants may be able to see a new solar system form before our eyes... at least a couple of good sized planets/jovians from that same ring (and maybe even have enough matter left over to keep some of that ring?!). Or there could be other planets already formed further out(?!).
