Mars still needs women
Colonization of space obviously requires both men and women in families in permanent settlements. Centuries from now, of course, but eventually this must happen.
While I appreciate NASA's position - didn't Gore Vidal say, 'Sex IS politics!'? - as well as its cautious approach, why must NASA so frequently slam on the brakes? The sooner alternatives to rocket propulsion are in regular use, the better. The sooner there is CATS, the better. The sooner men - and women - return to the Moon, the better.
The sooner NASA gets over its sex-in-space taboo, the better.
