NOTHING makes me more angry than to hear a someone speaching to an audience as if they were three year olds and using inarpropriate figures to prove a point to an audience that wouldn't know better. For example in this very documentary you have Dan Goldin going on about how wasteful expendable lauch vehicles are saying "you know, only about 3-4% of the vehicles mass is not thrown away to get to space, thats not a way to run a bussness is it?" Well of course mass, considering 90% of your mass is rocket feul you will be throwing it away regardless if you use stages or not, in fact you will throw away more feul by not using stages.

All Burt said was "I'm going to try", he tried, and it hasn't worked yet, but a lot of other people are trying, and they aren't using my tax money. When NASA 'tries' and fails it uses my tax money. Burt has plenty room to talk.
