Thanks, Nick. They really give a sense of the surface that all the high-res images can't. Your choice of colours makes it look like water is flowing in the channels... what colour is liquid CO2 in large quantities?
Does the white Mars model account for such large erosion features? From the phase diagrams of CO2 and H2O, it seems to me that while liquid CO2 can exist under certain conditions that could conceivably been present on Mars, its range is less than that of liquid water. Or am I looking at the diagrams with a distorted eye?
