Lagrange 2
MAP is going to Lagrange 2 ! First man made object to do so.
It will take 3 months, I think. The Earth will barely be visible from there.
MAP, according to some, might help detect gravity waves.
It will help get us an idea of the early universe.
We just hope it succeeds.
I was chatting with Del last night, when NASATV showed the MAP presentation. We figured the first question asked would be how much it's gonna cost...And sure enough....grrr, those darn journalists!
