Some people are baffled by Barry's BS. Others aren't. The point of the recent report was the difficulty in minimizing contamination in BOTH directions. The arguments with Barry were always about our ability to CONTAIN Martian organisms. It is typical of BD to totally distort the meaning of the report.
I have pointed out that class 4 facilities are not bastions of incoming contamination or they would be useless. I think the proposed facility will be a waste of money because it's sole function over existing class 4 facilities is to further reduce the possibility of Earthly contamination of the samples. This is an issue, but is it worth 800 million dollars to reduce the probalility from an already low level?
