COuld some provide a link for the future Ariane-5.
I read that the Ariane-5 is going to receive
upgrades by 2006 that will allow it to place
upto 12 'tons' in GTO.
Is that 12 short tons [i.e., 10800 kg] ?
Or is that 12 metric tons [12000 kg]?
If it's the latter, then the "improved" more powerful
Ariane-5 will be able to launch a mass upto and over
10,000 kilograms to the moon....Compare that to the mass
of the "Apollo-7" CSM: 14,670 kg.
