Hello,
Yesterday saturday 23rd, I went to Le Bourget air show near Paris, with 2 flemish air and space enthusiasts.
And we met with a number of astronauts:
The STS100 crew.I asked a question about the CANADARM 2 status in english and Chris Hadfield answered in french. He said NASA is confident it works, now. Jeff Ashby was astonished that Destiny made more of a difference than the panels for ISS sightings.
Then we saw our own astronaut from Belgium. He will fly in late 2002 or early 2003 with the Russians.
And then we saw the next Soyuz crew (with Claudie) and its reserve crew.
Great moments! The russians were impressed by the passion Belgians can have when we see Mir or ISS passing over.
