Thanks EP.
You just showed that space-baced (LEO) telescopes are better than moon based ones
(You said that one Moon telescope is not as good as one in LEO. You suggested that many on the Moon are better than one in LEO. It follows logically that many in LEO are better than many on the Moon, and they are also cheaper, btw)
That's disposed of the optical issue other than to note that others have done the cost/benefit analysis for ground-based vs space-based scopes and suggest that ground-based is best, anyway.
Radar is as good from Earth as from the Moon (Trade-off noise levels vs size and you find that Earth-based gives more bang-for-your-buck).
We simple need another 4 or 5 Arecibos and 20 Goldstones.
As for processing in space, this is a furphy. My desktop PC is powerful enough to process and blink-compare every single overlapping image pair from a Hubble-class LEO observatory in real time. We can launch a space-qualified equivalent "tomorrow" - certainly faster than we can grind the lenses.
Why don't you return to your statistics where you claim that events with a repeat interval of 100,000 years are occurring every 200 years. Haven't you learned to count yet?
