Well, the dinosaurs apparently weren't smart enough
to hide in caves and survive the effects of the KT impactor, which is what our furry little ancestors figured out was the proper course of action...
Maybe they were so big it wouldn't have mattered anyway...a T-Rex couldn't survive for very long by scrounging for small stuff in a cave , anyway...
