Entirely my fault
The board was having technical problems and it looked as though posts weren't going through. Several people tried several times, and once I cleared the problem, all the posts were revealed to have been recorded. I'm having a little trouble editing the table-of-contents in the messages, and I may just leave it alone as not being worth the effort.
