Hello everyone,
Tomorrow, exactly 30 years ago, <a href=

>Apollo 15 lifted off for the Moon.
Come to think of it, it was the most extraordinary mission of the XXth Century.
Think about it:
Mountains, valleys on the Moon (Hadley), very far from the Moon's equator.
3 Moonwalks, each one lasting from 5 to 7 hours.
A Rover with a TV camera controlled from the ground.
Much bigger distances crossed than before.
Varied, somptuous landscapes, much better TV pictures.
Hours and hours in front of the TV, mesmerized by the significance of those live pictures (We were on vacation and the grandparents invited us to have a look as the parents didn't have a TV yet).
The most important discovery of the Apollo program:
The Genesis Rock.
A CDR, David Scott, completely immersed in geology.
A demonstration of the behavior of a falcon feather and a hammer under Moon gravity!!
A live liftoff from the Moon.
A spacewalk between the Moon and the Earth, between 2 worlds.
I don't believe ever living something like this in my lifetime.
Apollo 15
