I incorrectly spelled Allan's name, Dr. Allan Paull (never could get the "L"s right with his name). Allan is a very bright guy. His Ph.D. was in mathematics under Fenton Pillow (also a brilliant mathematician). Your typical mathematician tends to be all theoretical but can't do anything practical. However Allan breaks the sterotype. Allan's a first class programmer and is just as comfortable behind a lathe cutting a part as he is in front of a chalkboard doing a tough derivation. He published a first class paper on expansion tube transverse wave instability in the "Journal of Fluid Mechanics".
