James Oberg can be homorous: "Taco Sauce saved Space Station".

[an aside]
I feel sorry for you Americans,
because your public libraries tend
to be...too parochial.
Try finding issues of a British
science periodical, like "New Scientist" on your library shelves;
or a Canadian science/geographic periodical like "Equinox".

That said, the ex-NASA employee,
James Oberg, has written an article
in the July/14/2001 issue of the New Scientist.

The coverpage heading reads:
"Exclusive: Space Station saved by Taco Sauce."
The explanation Mr. Oberg gives is
that that "Expedition One" crew to the
ISS had to do some repairs on the ISS,
and was forced to use Taco Sauce
as an ad hoc sticky paste to catch metal filings created by the repair job becuase no other material was available.
Ah huh! Ah huh!
Talk about belt-tightening at NASA.
