Ilya posted something lower on this board (it moved down since) that "Ever noticed NASA management always come across as idiots?"

This struck me as very true. A shining example being a movie of the shuttle challenger I once saw on the history channel. There you had the engineers pressing management not to go through with the launch and the managements saying "You are not being a team player here, we need team players, sit down and shut up". few things have had me seething at the tv screen than this movie. And of course we know the outcome. Whether the NASA administration really acted like this I don't know, but if they acted the way in real life the way they did in the movie and I was that engineer, up on seeing hte explosion I would have beat the living crap out of them.

(wonder what the name of the movie was. . . ?)
