If one is given images from Mars how does one tell between a river system formed by the processes of normal water flow as compared to those caused by the spiders and related river tributary systems?

And how can you prove that the +2ga tributaries and creeks formed by normal water flow rather than similar processes that are occurring on Mars today?

The type of flow pattern or fluid type will not give the required solution to the question.... and are simply the answers of the ignorant....misguided ....or the misinformed. It will lead to an incorrect conclusion, therefore a type 2 error.

If people really do have some good ideas - post them. We are currently using two ways, based on fundamental geological associations, but I want to know if anyone can think of any others. If you believe there never were any oceans on Mars ....or the reverse.....then here is your chance.......
