Re: Go ahead an look goofy, Keith

Keith,

You and Mark Eby have hounded and without mersey attacked every known person supporting Richard Hoagland's theories of Mars, yet when a few of his camp are invited to the Mars Society Convention this year, you suddenly embrace them and greet them with open arms. This is hypocritical of you. Either you side with the anomalists or you don't, which is it? Please tell us where you stand?

As far as your statment:"A number of the people you have repeatedly cited clearly and openly support the research on Devon Island."

The people that I cited? Cited where? I have no problem with the genuine astrobioligists at Devon Island doing serious Mars research, its the "goofy" play acting in canvas play spacesuits that is obviously a publicity stunt designed to attract the Star-Trek mentality. Nothing wrong with watching re-runs of Star Trek, you just have to realise what is real and what is not. Devon Island in reality is nothing like Mars at all. Even so, we have had scientists doing work in the Antarctic since the 1960's and they live there all winter long. They don't need a canvas spacesuit to work, they don't claim Antarctica is Mars either.

This play acting by the Mars Society in the Arctic has nothing to do with Mars science at all. It is nothing more than a few inmature people living out their Mars colony fantasy.

My opinion.
