bio-silicon

This is quite a milestone. This is the kind of nanotek that I think we'll see as a step beyond the pure bio-nanotech we're starting to do today. Directly linking neurons to silicon opens up new opportunities to cure blindness, paralysis, etc. It also opens up possibilities to forcefully control animal bodies. Imagine creatures programmatically driven to be predators on insect pests in the garden, etc. On the downside, imagine Buck having me implanted..."I must vote for algore. I must vote for algore."
