Hello, years ago, before I really became interested in space, for the Apollo program, the astronauts used the G3C spacesuits; they looked a lot like the Gemini spacesuits except for the helmets. Granted, they were replaced by much better ones (also much heavier) that were fireresistant and watercooled (instead of aircooled). I do regret those spacesuits were never used in actual spaceflights. That's because, at the time, one of my comic strip heroes was Dan Cooper, a Canadian test pilot, turned astronaut. In SOS in space, he precisely used the G3C suit (nothing about it in encyclopedia astronautica, btw) in an imaginary Gemini 13 flight. This kind of book can draw you into space when you are an adolescent (and it partly did).
True, the Gemini spacesuits were not as good as later ones (Cernan ripped a clothe at his behind and he got a sunburn during his GT9 spacewalk.
