My God! An SF illustrator who actually READ the book!
I am convinced that artists who paint covers for science fiction books never read them. Every kzin illustration I ever saw looked like a barrel-chested furry man with a tiger’s head and tail. This simple pencil drawing gets every detail right:
1. EIGHT fingers, not ten (how hard is that?)</cr>
2. Folding parasol ears instead of cat ears (okay “Man-Kzin Wars V” had that one right)</cr>
3. No barrel chest or narrow waist - kzinti ribs run all the way to the pelvis</cr>
4. Arms and legs the same length</cr>
5. Tail is naked
I am willing to bet artist was never paid for this drawing ;)
