Of course the BIG news item of late has been Object KX76 2001 (now minor planet 28978) which may be bigger than Charon. According to extrapolations from recent sky surveys of small patches there are ~ 30 KX76 sized objects and maybe +5 Pluto sized objects out there... maybe a real planet X???
