Moving in space isn't like flying a plane: if you want to catch up with a station, you have to SLOW down (in order to get to a faster orbit); if you want to change direction, you rotate around yourself first. Things are so fast that computers are required for any course correction.
Astronauts cannot be creative as they need a team spirit, need to follow hundreds of safety rules: in other words: they are boring.
And now, they upset space enthusiasts as they keep turning around the Earth and never leave our vicinity (yet, they're there; it might not have been so).
And, while going up, they have discovered something few Science Fiction authors could have imagined: how beautiful our blue planet Earth is.
