Re: Lightcraft
The Laser Lightcraft is intended to only be used to put a Kg or so of instruments into low earth orbit. Dr. Myrabo does not intend to use it for any thing more (last I heard). A Laser that is very close to large enough to accomplishing this does exist. The large scale Lightcraft (capable of carrying passengers) would be powered by Microwave transmission, not Laser, and is theoretically feasible (again, last I heard), but there are significant technical hurdles.
