Some Odyssey factoids
(from NASA)
More than half of Odyssey's pre-insertion-burn weight was fuel.
It will use some of it's own THEMIS data to help determine atmosphere height and density.
It will make approximately 380 drag passes in 78 days before final orbit is established.
Does anyone have the dimensions of the solar panels, or an estimate of the maximum aerodynamic drag the craft will experience during aerobraking?
The probe overall is given as being 2.2 m long, 1.7 m high, and 2.6 m wide.
