You are applying today's methods of calculating space construction costs to the future. This is equivelant to someone in 1900 calculating that we would never get into space because no balloon (the Wright brothers had not yet gotten off the ground) could ever fly above a mile or so.
The methods available to our grand children one hundred, or even fifty years from now will almost certainly be beyond our imagining.
